Home learning Wednesday 27th January

Date: 20th Jan 2021 @ 12:22pm

It's Wednesday and today we are thinking about caterpillars and how they change into butterflies.

  • Can you print your own caterpillar? Use the end of a tube such as toilet roll, dip it into the paint and press on your paper. How many circles will you paint for your caterpillar? When the paint is dry add on a face and lots of legs. Send us a picture at [email protected]
  • I would like you to try acting out the story – first curl up small in an egg and hatch, next be a crawling caterpillar with lots of eating, then wrap yourself up in a blanket like a pupa or chrysalis, finally wriggle your way out, open your wings and fly away!
  •  Watch this beautiful life cycle clip - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVm5k99PnBk
  • I wonder if you are able to make your own set of wings…you could use material or cardboard. Butterflies are colourful and bright so add colours onto your wings. Now it’s time to fly!
