Round and round the garden like a teddy bear, one step, two step, tickle you under there!

  • Go outside in your garden or near your door and listen carefully for a minute …without talking. What did you hear? birds, cars, people, planes, something else? Can you draw pictures of the things you heard?
  • Make a mini obstacle course in your garden or house…what can you climb over or crawl under and climb through?
  • Help your mum or dad with some digging and planting. Use the gardening tools carefully. I wonder if you will find any little creatures.

If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands…Clap! Clap!

  • Draw a happy face, you need a large circle to start, two eyes, a nose and a mouth, don’t forget ears and hair!
  • Play a silly game in the mirror…pull a funny face and see if you can make your Mum and dad laugh.
  • Let’s get active..pillow case hopper races…instead of a sack race this is a pillow case race. Clear a space , climb into a pillow case …ready steady go!Jump! How high can you jump? What is your longest jump? Measure it and see if you can beat it next time.
  • Have a dance to your favourite song.
  • If your child is full of energy and you are stuck indoors try https://about.gonoodle.com/gonoodlefamilies which has loads of dances and activities to keep them entertained for free.

Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn around, teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the ground, teddy bear, teddy bear, show your shoe, teddy bear, teddy bear, that will do!

  • Dress up your favourite teddy bear. You can use a hat, tie, necklace, glasses.
  • Ask your grown up to help you make a sandwich for a teddy bear’s picnic – can you use the knife carefully to spread the butter or maybe jam? (My teddy bear loves jam sandwiches!)
  • Clear a space on the floor, sitting on a blanket or rug and enjoy a picnic with your teddy bear.
  • Take a photo of your teddy bears picnic with help from your grown up.

Oh the Grand old Duke of York he had 10,000 men he marched them up to the top of the hill and he marched them down again. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p06y84k7/the-baby-club-baby-club-songs-7-the-grand-old-duke-of-york

  • Try out some marching, count as you march.
  • Can you march up and down the stairs?
  • Make some soldier skittles, using cans, toys or bottles. Roll a ball and see how many you can knock down.
  • Play a game of musical soldiers, instead of musical statues. When the music plays the soldiers can march but when it stops they must stand to attention!
